“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”
On my way to do yoga today a thought crossed my mind: “I haven’t posted any new yoga photos lately even though I practice it regularly”. It was a fleeting thought and I forgot about it the following minute. I carried on and found a great spot in jungle forest to do my yoga.
After a while it started sprinkling with rain and I had to shift to a small pergola nearby. As I was holding a pigeon pose, two ladies appeared on the trekking path and one of them asked if I wanted my photo taken while I was doing yoga. I was speechless for a second, but then gladly agreed to have my pic taken.
This little incident proves to me again how powerful our thoughts are. At times we forget about it and let small worms of negativity creep into our minds. However, we should be in control of the mind. As Mahatma Gandhi rightly said, our thoughts gradually determine our destiny.
But then I asked myself, “How come some things I really want to happen and keep imagining don’t become real?” Apparently, it is not the right time yet. Patience can be the only answer.
